Libraries are not boring!
The story, Palak Kundra: I have a regarding 'give life to libraries' recently. But I think I didn't do justice to what Public Library can add to society.
So I'm correcting that mistake by telling you about how Public Library situated in Rani Ka Bagh Amritsar, under the supervision of librarian Mrs. Prabhjot Kaur, is changing the perception that libraries aren't only for reading books and magazines, and libraries definitely don't have a boring atmosphere.

Oh no no no, in this library, several other innovative and intriguing activities happen and that too, very often.
Poetry recitations, story-telling, book-launching, issues related activities like 'say no to drugs' or 'save the world', helping poor children who can't afford to study and many more, is going on in Rani Ka Bagh Public Library. DO VISIT

At least, one has to start to change the notion that libraries are boring and outdated. They're not!
And this is being changed by the thoughts of respected madam librarian. Mrs. Prabhjot Kaur knows how to attract youth to books. With the change of time and easy-to-use technology in this Mobile-Era, every library must adopt these type of interesting attractions.

5th Feb Punjabi Sahit Sangam and representatives from many literary forums of the city organized Kavi Darbar at District Library Amritsar. Renowned writers S.Harbhajan Singh Khemkarni, S. Dharminder Aulakh, and Mrs. Artinder Kaur Sandhu gifted their creations to the library for the readers.
On International Book Giving Day 14th Feb District Library Amritsar gifted today more than hundred books to promote “Project Sparsh Library” (exchange your book) Initiated by Col.Charanjit Sohal Officer in Charge of ExService man Health Contributory Scheme Army Hospital Amritsar.He gifted journal ‘Waagha’to District Library Amritsar for its readers.
