Environment is in Danger : Deepak Babbar




Its really sad to observe and say that City of Golden temple have THE most incompetent employees in PWD, who doesn't have any knowledge of taking care of plants. The contractor doesn't know what to procure and plant as he has not been given the list of plants to be planted in BRTS by the concerned employee.  We immediately demand the work to be handed over to a competent person. Already PWD has done lot of damage to the environment of Amritsar by haphazardly and in a cruel manner cutting of trees. They have done lot of sins.  We have also come to know that the officer responsible for replanting of trees and somewhat saving the deteriorating environment of the city has been transferred. This is the most unfortunate thing happened to our city. This officer was washing the sins done by PWD, in the name of so called development! Many age old beautiful 🌲🌳🌴and holy cum heritage valuable Pipal n Bohar trees were chopped mindlessly!. The Horticulture wing of PWD is headless now.
NGOs cannot do the things what the Government can do for saving the environment. We demand from concerned authorities,  a competent officer be posted immediately in Amritsar, who is equally able and competent. Thanks.
